The Practice.
Before the finished work comes repetition. Studies, experiments and observations from Anaïa Hoard's practice.
These are artifacts of process, the marks, tests and observations that precede a finished portrait. They are not products but evidence: the labor of sharpening, repeated until the line forgets the hand.
